December 4, 2021
Dear Residents,
Please see the attached document for the project planning spreadsheet that was presented at today’s homeowner meeting. This is the first draft of the working document for projects for next year. There is a 30-day comment period open until January 3, 2022. We are asking the community for feedback on this draft, if you believe there is a project that should be added, a change in the priority of a project, or any other comments or suggestions you may have. Please provide your feedback in writing to Scott Matthews Jr. at Scotta.Matthews@fsresidential.
Please see below for the December 2021 President’s Update:
I would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays and a Healthy and Happy New Year!
On behalf of the entire board, I would like to thank all our members who attended the budget meeting last month and those who took time out from their busy schedules to send in comments and questions. We appreciate your engagement and are grateful for your support. The board response was emailed to all members yesterday, and we have hard copies here today. It is a hefty ten pages long, so I am sure you would all prefer to read these questions and responses on your own time rather than have me read them aloud now.
In summary, we listened to your insightful comments and took them to heart. As a result, we are offering all members who pay in full before January 15, 2022, a $50 discount off the annual assessment. In addition, we will continue to offer the 6 month payment plan for dues and the 12 month payment plan for the special assessment. Furthermore, we started sending out brief board updates within 24 hours of our board meetings based on your feedback. We are also forming a strategic planning committee that will help develop goals and objectives for the community. Strategic planning will help ensure our association remains fiscally sound and provide a road map for the future. In addition, we have drafted a project tracking worksheet that will keep the membership up to date with yearly projects and combine synergistically with the strategic plan.
We honor our past and build on lessons learned. We recognize our community strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the present. And we envision our needs as a community in the future. A strategic plan will project where we collectively expect to be in five to ten years and how we will get there. We would not be sitting in this clubhouse for this meeting today had it not been for the hard work of volunteer board and committee members in the past. And we can’t possibly hope to effectively plan for the future without all of you being a part of the team. We value your input on this and will be offering a general comment period and soliciting volunteer membership participation in the process.
For our community to flourish, everyone needs to ensure a shared vision becomes a reality. We rely on our residents’ civility, inclusivity, diversity, and talent. We have numerous committees just waiting for your input. It’s essential to continue celebrating this holiday season and build community harmony and spirit year-round. We are a collective, and great things can happen when we all work together.
Sincerely,
Marissa Johnson
Assistant Community Manager
