Dear Residents,

Please see below for an update on the Governing Document Amendment from your Board of Directors:

Amendments to our governing documents must yield a 2/3 vote “yes” from all members in good standing to take effect. The board presents the following abbreviated suggestions by our membership for our solicitor to review.
  • Allow parking of currently prohibited items only by approval from the Design and Review Committee
  • Change new construction to a minimum of 2,000 SF
  • Define trucks Class 1-3 GVW category as allowed
  • Allow home-based businesses with zero outside traffic
  • Allow planting hedges as a natural barrier only by approval from Design and Review
  • Allow window and wall air conditioners and satellite TV dishes
  • Allow and define garden flags without a waiver
  • Add waiver process for three vehicle rule exception
  • Allow official association notifications to be sent via email for members who opt-in
  • Allow and define minor vehicle repairs (i.e. change tires)
  • Allow and define fenced gardens by approval from Design and Review
  • Eliminate architect member requirement from Design and Review except for new construction
  • Eliminate GAC (Glen Advisory Committee) from Bylaws and replace it with “a committee”
  • Eliminate election requirement for GAC
  • Reduce ⅔ membership vote requirement to 51 percent or higher
  • Clarify remedies for entering lots to cure violations to say “with a court order”
  • Change the 2-inch diameter rule to 4-inch for tree removal
  • Inquire about the removal of the Master Association from governing documents
  • Define ATV/UTV vehicles and motorbikes
  • Clarify all date and procedural conflicts in Bylaws
  • Modernize and simplify the language in CCRs
