December 16, 2021

Dear Residents,

BOARD BRIEFS
12/14/21
● We thank everyone who attended the homeowner meeting on December 4th. We have one resident who has volunteered to be on the strategic planning committee and two for the finance committee. We invite all interested members to be part of these important committees. In addition, we request that residents submit comments and suggestions regarding the draft project planning tracker for 2022. We thank all our members for your continued engagement and feedback.
● We approved the 2022 annual assessment letter, which our community manager will send via mass communication to all residents. In addition, FirstService Residential will be sending out paper account statements via regular mail over the next few weeks.
● The Bulk Item Disposal Committee is finalizing plans for a Bulk Item Disposal day during the week between Christmas and New Year’s. All participants must register in advance of the disposal day. If enough residents sign up, we will secure a 30-yard dumpster. There will be a nominal charge of $10 for a single item and $45 for a pickup truck full of items. No tires, wet paint cans, chemicals, or electronics will be accepted for bulk disposal at this time.
● We are still looking for an additional compliance officer. Until the vacancy is filled, we have volunteers who will assist in the position.
● We are interviewing potential new solicitors for the association.
● We approved the purchase of the budgeted magnetic sign and amber dashboard light for the compliance officer vehicle. We also approved purchasing neon safety vests for $5.00.
● We developed a board and management social media policy to be distributed via mass communication after final approval.
● We are sending out additional requests for proposals (RFP) for stormwater management repairs on Brandyshire and Tamiment Drive. This area has turned into swampland due to poor drainage and the speed bump diversion of water.
We ask that any member with comments, suggestions, or questions regarding these items please reach out in writing to our Community Manager Scott Matthews Jr. via email to scotta.matthews@fsresidential.com before our next board meeting in two weeks.
The Events Committee received donations from FirstService Residential of a 40 inch smart TV, a Gift Certificate from Giuseppe’s Pizza, a Gift Certificate from Miggy’s Deli, and resident donations for our Holiday Raffle. We will announce the raffle winners on Saturday, December 18th at 11 AM in the gathering room of the clubhouse during the free Common Grounds event.

Sincerely,

Marissa Johnson

Assistant Community Manager
