Dear Residents,

Please see below from your Board of Directors:

We are aware of the infestation of gypsy moths throughout the community.   However, after doing extensive research we have discovered that it is too late to spray with BT (used in the past, not harmful). The only option left for spraying is using a poisonous, toxic spray at an astronomical cost in excess of $40,000.

The board has requested and received quotes for spraying next year to consider for the 2025 budget. In the past, the county/township mandated association contributions to area wide spraying, at a reduced rate than what we would pay on our own. That did not happen this year, as it seems we were all largely taken by surprise at how bad the infestation is.

We hope to encourage our elected officials to revive that program next year if necessary.

Sincerely,

Scott Matthews Jr.
