Dear Residents,

Please see attached for the financial reports and below for the June President’s report.

President’s Report June 2022
The start of the summer season is underway in our community. We are pleased to announce the opening of the pool this weekend! The Events Committee hosts a Party on the Lawn and Food Truck Festival from noon to 5 PM following this meeting today. There will be music, a DJ, lawn games, and food trucks. We strive to offer all our members the opportunity to be informed and engaged with our community. So, we are grateful to see many of you here today.
Our volunteers and committee members are the lifeblood of this community. We have a fantastic management team here with Scott and Marissa, yet we wouldn’t be what we are today without the residents’ participation. We want to extend our thanks to Joe Runo, Peter Lester, Dominick Toscano, and Tim Jones for donating their time, labor, and materials to build the community horseshoe pit. Also, to Donna and Ernie Vaupel for donating their time, labor, and materials to install shelving in the Events Committee Closet. Finally, to John Kis for fabricating and donating specialized brackets to help repair our community street signs. Let’s give all our volunteers a round of applause in appreciation for everything they do!
As many of you know, we had a fire in our community last week that devastated one of our Glen families. The outpouring of support and help for this family from all of you has been truly heartwarming. Fires and other emergencies can often be mitigated or avoided with some advance planning and precautions. For this reason, the Board passed a resolution last month banning all outdoor burning during days that the National Weather Service has issued a red flag alert. We would love to have our residents volunteer to help formulate a community emergency preparedness plan. Please let our management team know if you would be willing to assist.
We received the independent annual financial audit report from Zavada and Associates for 2021 and are pleased with their findings. Any member interested in obtaining a copy should contact our Community Manager Scott. As a reminder, the 2022 annual dues should be paid in full as of June 1st. We strongly encourage anyone with a balance to avoid additional fees and judicial proceedings by reaching out to our Community Manager.
On a personal note, even as turmoil in the greater world continues to stress each one of us in different ways, we as a community are finding resilience and support right here. From the simple joys of socializing with our neighbors to enjoying the beauty of our natural surroundings, we can choose to be part of the solution. I thank each of one of you for making that choice.

Sincerely,

Marissa Johnson

Assistant Community Manager
