Dear Residents,

Please see the below message from the water company:

Hello.
This is a courtesy message from Community Utilities of Pennsylvania – Tamiment, your local water utility provider at 1-800-638-0262.
Due to the expected extremely cold temperatures, this is a reminder that in order to prevent your water lines from freezing, you may choose to leave a faucet on at a slow trickle, about the size of a pencil tip. It is recommended to use the furthest faucet from where your water line enters your home. The constant movement of the water helps to prevent internal plumbing from freezing. The small volume of water will amount to a few cents per day but can prevent paying for costly plumbing repairs. You may also wish to open cabinet doors under your sinks to allow warm air near your water pipes, this can also help them from freezing. If you have an outside meter, please make sure meters are frost proof to prevent your water from freezing. If you have outside piping or piping in a crawlspace, please make sure pipes are frost proof to prevent your water from freezing.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-638-0262.
 Thank you.

Sincerely,

Scott Matthews Jr.
